    I am african american with pretty thick hair and this brush does wonders to get my hair shiny and straight! I usually rollerset my hair and then flat iron out the crinkled sections, now that I have this brush my hair comes out looking like I came from the salon!! My hair is shiny, soft and I've experienced no breakage with using this Brush. This is a must have item!!! Fyi: I use small section to ensure that I get my hair straight and avoid breakage.
